Old Man of Storr, Trotternish, Skye
This morning, our started with departure form lodgings at Portree, capital of Skye and then north passing the Old Man of Storr with first stop at Kilt Rock, a coastal cliff face. Then on to the Quiraing, a stunning volcanic landslip which has resulted in a spectacular landscape.
Off next to Uig harbour for a refreshment stop then to Dunvegan Castle, home of the Chief of Clan Macleod. Gardens were well kept and very colourful.
Next a drive south to Talisker where group toured the distillery and learned the whisky making process from malting, mashing and fermentation to distillation and maturation.
Finally, we drove back to our lodgings at Portree via stunning Skye mountain scenery.
